Home – 'Under Construction'

This is what occured as we know it.

What do we write here? If you are here it is most likely you are looking for information.

We started this site to tell you the truth, in the words of the contractor, the mayor, the law director, the chief building official(s), building inspectors, members of city council, as well as our neighbors and others.

First and foremost this is a civil rights issue.

On August 9, 2017 Megan Bremer and Tim Ide purchased the historic ‘Charter’ house. A 1907 timber frame located between Side Cut Park and Conant at 321 West Broadway St. in Maumee, Ohio.

We hired Kevin Oberhouse d.b.a. DIVERSIFIED GROUP LLC / Toledo Basement Repair to replace nearly all of the foundation under the house.

Kevin Oberhouse d.b.a. DIVERSIFIED GROUP LLC / Toledo Basement Repair applied for and was issued a permit to replace the foundation by the city of Maumee, Ohio Department of Safety, Division of Building Inspection and Zoning.

The approval of the plans by the Maumee Division of Building Inspection and Zoning was in direct conflict with Ohio law and never should have occurred.

The city of Maumee then sent us letters that deprived us of our constitutionally guaranteed, federally protected civil right to due process.

We pointed out to Maumee where and how they violated Ohio law and they told us not to speak to them again that if we had anything to tell them that we would need to do it in writing, and that they would not debate the process.

They the just ignored us, with an occasional unlawful notice which again deprived us of our right to due process and then no follow up again for months and months on end.

It is now February 2020 and the liars, fakers and frauds ‘running’ Maumee have been found by the state of Ohio to have violated the duties and responsibilities of the office.

As of February 18, 2020, the last communication to us by anyone associated with Maumee was a letter dated November 26, 2019 by the new assistant prosecutor David Busik, who informed us that he has an open mind and that he wishes to resolve the issues regarding the property as expeditiously as possible.

That… two years, three months and two days after Zachary Jenkins approved our plans in direct conflict with Ohio statutes.

…and still we wait.
