Kevin,

You should’ve received the inspection report from Maumee weeks ago with the 6 code violations they found.  What are your intentions?

Ok, in the meantime my basement keeps flooding with snow melt and rain, we may have to replace the water heater and furnace as the water got very deep.  The longer you wait the more damage is done.

Please clarify. Are you making a claim  Diversified is additionaly responsible for damages to your furnace and water heater?

My basement keeps flooding thru the crossover pipe drilled in the footer and/or seeping under the block wall since its not sealed to footer,  we unhooked the furnace and water heater and carried them upstairs, won’t know if they’re damaged till hooked back up.  I’m just saying time is of the essence, let’s pick up the pace on a fix please

Inspection would like an engineers stamp on some of the codes issues. We contacted a few engineers and waiting for replies.

Good Morning Bruce,

Thank-you for conducting a thorough inspection of the foundation on Feb 1.

I have emailed Diversified Group several times, they respond that they are working on a plan. This morning they said Inspection would like an engineer’s stamp on the code violations.  Could you clarify what that means for me?

Thanks again,

Megan Bremer

to Mark, megan

Good Morning Megan,

I did not talk with Diversified Group, Mark answered their call about the notice.  There obviously numerous concerns with one being the exposed footer/foundation without protection from the frost over the winter.  Without proper coverage/protection, frost will occur under the footer.  A design professional will not stamp the notice sent by the city but rather visit the site and provide recommendations of corrective action if any.

Ok, I know Maumee’s big concern and ours too is the footers not being protected from the frost and Sunday we noticed another large crack in the block from the top to bottom where the footer changes elevation in the courtyard area.    It’s failing already, after 2 months.
